Unite for Change proudly announces the 8th Annual Urban Servant Leadership Unconference, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Martin University in Indianapolis. Coinciding with Juneteenth weekend, this year's theme, "Freedom Through Unity," emphasizes the power of collective action in addressing the pressing challenges facing urban communities across Indiana. Unite for Change is a community-based advocacy organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and mobilizing urban servant leaders across Indiana. Focused on equity, justice, and collective impact, Unite for Change brings together grassroots leaders, faith communities, nonprofits, and concerned citizens to address systemic challenges and build stronger, more resilient communities. Through convenings like the Urban Servant Leadership Unconference, the organization equips everyday changemakers with the tools, training, and support needed to lead transformative change from the ground up. The Unconference serves as a dynamic platform for community advocates, faith leaders, educators, and youth to engage in meaningful dialogue, share resources, and develop strategies aimed at fostering holistic progress within African-American communities. Youth Luncheon: A dedicated space for youth attendees to network, share experiences, and discuss actionable steps toward community involvement. UFC Awards Luncheon: Featuring keynote speaker Theryn C. Bond, a renowned political strategist based in Washington, D.C., and descendant of civil rights icon Julian Bond. Her insights will inspire attendees to continue the legacy of advocacy and leadership.
