Project: Hyper Island Infographical Client: Hyper Island / IdN Magazine Music & Sound Design: Box of Toys Audio CHALLENGE / We were asked to create a bespoke piece of music for a mini-featurette on the Sweden based school of digital media, Hyper Island. The client required a fresh take on audio in preparation for an appearance in IdN Magazine's DVD on infographics (this version does not feature the voice over included in the final piece) SOLUTION / The creative environment of Hyper Island influenced us heavily in our approach, and warranted a very percussive and acoustic sound set. We wanted it to sound as if the students were using pots, pans, brushes, boxes or whatever they could find in order to create the music. A subtle underlay of sound design worked around the voice over and assisted in the personality and animation of the piece.
