Gerry Ong was born and raised in a Taoist-Buddhist family in Singapore. He got married to a Catholic woman thinking he would later convert her to Buddhism, but he could not expect what actually occurred. Thanks to his wife's prayers, his experiences accompanying her on pilgrimages, as well as his father's mysterious healing through a visit from a woman dressed in blue, it would be him--not his wife--who would convert in the end.
