A Rs 1,260-crore mega project promises to change the face of policing in the capital, according to media reports. Conceived after the Nirbhaya gang rape, the Union home ministry’s Safe City Project will put the entire criminal database in the hands of the cop on duty through the latest IT tools and monitor public places through a wide network of CCTVs.
