ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Time lapse cameras around the Tuscan island of Giglio in Italy captured the successful rotation of the Costa Concordia cruise liner.

The entire operation, which started early Monday morning, took 19 hours to complete.

The 114,500 ton vessel was hauled up by huge jacks and cables.

Crews had to be extremely careful to prevent an environmental disaster in the Tuscan waters.

The Costa Concordia had been partially submerged for the last 20 months after it slammed into a reef near Giglio, Italy.
