Pharaoh had a dream of seven fat and lean cows. Joseph interpreted the dream and warned Pharaoh that after seven years of plenty in Egypt there would be seven years of famine. Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of a food storage project which ultimately saved many people when the famine struck.
A modern day prophet, Gordon B Hinckley, said that this ancient story had strongly impressed upon him that extremely difficult days lay ahead. He warned people to do as Joseph did and to make necessary preparations that will see them through the dark days ahead.
