The Blue Lotus
From beneath dark waters
Rises the blue lotus
Unique, special, singular
Amid the common white
The muddy, murky waters
Her feeding ground
Experiences past and present
Her food
Beautiful thoughts
Fleeting
Flowing
Captured
The one
That owns her
Dare not sever her
For his delight
For he may not
Realize his prize
A mere ornamental flower
In his limited vase
He does not understand
In her root
Connected
Tangled
Intertwined
Lies her true
Identity
