I write with a pencil
Because I make a lot of mistakes
See, look at that first line up there
I had to re-write it
With a pen—I’d have had to scribble the whole line out
And start over
Life is like writing with a pen
We all do a lot of scribbling out
A pen can make a mess of a paper
With too many scribbles
Crossing out
X-ing out
Blacking out
Sometimes whole pages are removed
Ripped up and thrown away
But it’s fine
We just go on to the next one
One day we’ll get it right.
