A poet lives!
To bring his or her thoughts
to the page, for others
to read.
A poet lives!
Writing emotions, sounds, and
images that demand to be felt,
heard, and seen through words.
A poet lives!
With or without
rhyme and or meter,
a passionate artist of pen and paper.
And though the body eventually dies,
if the words written on paper
or computer continue to be read,
a poet lives.
