SAFE IN MY FATHER’S OWN HAND
I rejoice in the shadow
Of the wings of the Almighty
It is there that I find sweet rest
Trusting in Him
Who has done so mightily
Sheltered as a chick in her nest
To see Thy power and Thy glory
You speak and it happens
Nothing preventeth Thy Word
My soul shall be satisfied
As with marrow and fatness
Such is my meditation O Lord
Early have I sought Thee
Thou art fresh water
Even in a dry thirsty land
Better than life
Is Thy loving kindness
I’m safe in my Father’s own Hand.
