Aniruddha Pathak - That’s to have lived

2014-06-18 4 Dailymotion

To laugh away things when go wobbly wrong,
To win warm welcome whoso we visit,
To make every child’s smile a tad more sweet,
And ensure, life sings melodious song;
To celebrate when in touch with beauty,
To coax rainbows of life longer to last,
To sway not from avowed path of duty,
And leave behind legacy all so vast;
To appreciate seeing an honest act,
Forgive one of betrayal, sleigh of hand,
To spend patient time that a foe turns friend,
And know: not fiction, stranger feels some fact;
To pamper every green that pure we breathe,
To trust and believe in one’s inmost space1,
To give and gain, to guard our greedy geethe2,
Departing, leave the world a better place.

To let the world know you lived and lived well,
That even your grave giveth fragrant smell.
