If your senile granny is waving around a gun, do NOT call the cops. Just sayin.

Or if your problem-teen is out of control, do not call the cops. It may not turn out the way you expect.

UPDATE : Cop Cleared After Killing 93 Year Old

The nonagenarian was shot five times, several witnesses told KBTX-TV.

This is the second time Officer Stem has been involved in a deadly shooting.

The person who called 911 was Pearlie Golden's nephew.
A few days earlier, the Texas Department of Public Safety refused to renew her driver's license. The nephew was trying to take her keys away. Golden got upset, grabbed her gun and threatened him.

Pearlie Golden, 93, was shot and killed by Hearne police officer Stephen Stem while he was responding to an emergency call about a female waving a gun.

Neighbors said Pearlie Golden was a sweet woman known to most people of this predominantly black community as "Miss Sully."

When cops arrived around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Golden was outside the home waving the gun around.

A one-paragraph press release issued by the department Wednesday said officers responded to a 911 call involving "a female with a gun."

Officer Stephen Stem asked the 93-year-old to "put down the weapon and then ultimately fired his own sidearm, wounding Miss Golden" who later died at a local hospital, according to the Robertson County District Attorney's Office.

Resident Lawanda Cooke questioned why the officer would shoot an old woman. "Even if she did have a gun, she is in her 90s. They could have shot in the air to scare her."

Officer Stem has previously shot and killed a suspect, the news station reported. Just six months after he started with the department, Stem shot and killed Tederalle Satchell, 28, who reportedly was shooting a gun from his car in an apartment complex parking lot.

A grand jury cleared the then-rookie officer of wrongdoing. He's been on the job less than two years.
