To the children of the world
Writing poems is nice,
Makes you happy and wise
And gives you a prize,
Monetary or otherwise.
Making poems is easy;
Just be able to think freely,
And you'll be surprised to see
That words come neatly.
Writing poems is simple;
Just have a love for the dictionary.
It is the poet's bible
That broadens the vocabulary.
Making poems is cool;
Just be good at grammar school,
For you will need the tool,
People to fool.
