Caged
Like an animal on the prowl
Restless, sleepless
We wander
Trapped in a cage of cotton, silver, glass
A place they dare call
Home
Screaming terror
Thoughts
Echoing through my head
Like a thousand swords
Tearing the flesh
Blood flowing freely
From the grotesque horror
Of reality
Continuity in this routine
Fed by illusion
Starved by distrust
Compulsive disarray
Insanity looming ever nearer
Insomnia
Body
Consumed by its
Own existence
Disguised by a smile
But in the eyes
You are taught of the disease
The rage
And disgust
Bringing on uncontrollable bloodlust
Vengeance
Trapped and full of emotion
The tiger is on the prowl.
