How can you not believe in God?
See, me and my God,
for my God is different
from yours, have an understanding...
You don't ask me for money and
demand that I take the Good Book
in its very unintended 'literal' terms
and I won't expect you to change
something that was already fated
or blame you
when something goes terribly wrong,
especially when it was my fault
to begin with.
BUT
I will respect YOU
and strive to forever be
a better person
and You continue
to give me beautiful sunrises
and majestic sunsets,
which will remind me everyday
to appreciate being alive.
After all,
who else would be capable
of orchestrating
such masterful events? ?
(Dedicated to my husband, who has been denying God for the wrong reasons.)
