Cautiously we move through life,
From day to day,
From strife to strife.
Looking over our shoulders,
Ever aware of those
Seeking to destroy our faith,
In the human race...
Looking both ways before crossing the street,
Guarded of strangers we chance to meet,
Carefully handling the rose with the thorn,
Then being stomped on the toe with the corn!
