How could I forget
That night we spent
Especially when you suddenly
Just up and left
I awoke with a chill
All alone in a dark room
Hardly believing that
You would leave me so soon
The only thing there was
To show you weren't a dream
Was the impression in the pillow
Lying right beside me
And the moon's cold
Blue rays shown bright
Assuring me that lonesome
Had found me that night
I tried so hard to
Close my eyes to imagine
What it would have been like
If you were there when I had awoken.
