I placed five bob on the favourite
It should have not been past
He sat still in the starting stalls
And came a dismal last
Next I placed a double up
Ten bob on number three
He ran the wrong way round the track
I ‘m sure he couldn’t see
Race number three I got a tip
Straight from the horse’s mouth
A pound on five to gallop north
Instead he galloped south
I’m losing like it’s easy
The grey now placed two pound
He led the whole way round the track
Then fell down on the ground
The final race I’m desperate
What must I do to win?
I think next time, I’ll stay at home
And throw my money in the bin
