Surprise Me!

Bonnie Collins - The Lonely Marigold

2014-11-08 5 Dailymotion

Glancing up at a beutifull balmy
fall's day with the distant mountiains
covered with hues of autum's breath

Crisp chill was in the air
that stood evedence clearly
of the frost that has knocked on
the door of so many plants that
lie in thier death, with deadly brown
leaves on the branches and leaves
slowly wilting, slightly as the sun
approached as if to warm gently
to its child, stood, a single lonely
marigold that seemed to withold
the nights passing freeze...

Alone but stood with so much beauty
as if to let her plant know, as long as
she is alive it will protect her buds
from the freeze of yet another night

Blooming with wonder filled with
purity as its white beauty stood
so prowdly, she was trying with
dignity to say goodby to her
summer visitors, sadly, as I pondered
at its magnifiing glory, wondering
how many people noticed the
lonlely marigold......
