A lone wolf at midnight
Stares up at the inky sky
The thousands of twinkling stars
A glowing firefly
A lone wolf at midnight
Howls to the bright shining moon
Far off in the distance
It will be dawn soon
A lone wolf at midnight
Begins once more to run
He wants to get his journey
Finished, over and done
A lone wolf at midnight
Longs for his pack
His family, who disappeared
And never came back
A lone wolf at midnight
Runs past shadowy trees
Watches the year die
Along with the orangey leaves
A lone wolf at midnight
Stares up at the inky sky
And there, alone in the world
Staring up, he dies
I think there is a lesson
For us all to learn
For this lone wolf at midnight
To stop, and take a turn
Do what you will with your life
But let your heart be filled with hope
And when those around you say give up
Shake your head and say nope!
Live for those you love
And for the good of all mankind
Animals and plants and things
Everything you can find
Life is worth it
If you live
You will find things worth living for
Like that lone wolf at midnight
Who followed his dreams
Wherever they took him
Do the same
And follow your heart
