Joseph Anderson - Troubled Heart Be Still

2014-11-10 3 Dailymotion

While I in acquiescence lie
To watch these troubled moments fly
And listen to my conscience cry.
Oh, troubled heart, be still.

To sit and watch, to hope and pray
And wait and want a better day;
To see my dear wife fade away,
I must hold on until-

Perhaps, upon some later date,
When providence has sealed the fate
That I must now sit and await;
This is a bitter pill.

Bereaved, befuddled sit here I
Devoid of laughter, scared to cry,
Confused in my attempt to try
To climb some yonder hill.

To all the wondrous powers that be,
Please walk along this road with me
Until I find serenity-
Oh, troubled heart, be still.
