Parent of missing student: 'We won't rest until we find them'

The parents of 43 students involved in an apparent massacre by corrupt police and thugs from drug gangs marched on Thursday (November 13) in the town of Tixtla in Guerrero state.

Holding photographs of their loved ones and chanting: "They took them alive, we want them back alive," the parents were also accompanied by some students from the rural school in Ayotzinapa as well as supporters and relatives.

This protest came a day after demonstrators set fire to the local legislature building in the state capital Chilpancingo.

Anger has intensified in Mexico since Attorney General Jesus Murillo said last week that evidence suggests 43 missing trainee teachers were murdered by gangsters, incinerated in a bonfire at a garbage dump and their ashes thrown in a river.

The students were abducted by corrupt police in September, Murillo has said.

Teresa Mateco, the mother of missing student Adan de la Cruz, said she didn't believ
