Rarely seen 1960s TV show (which you could also title 'The Roots of Monty Python'). Created by David Frost (of the pioneering 'Frost Report'), I think it may be the first appearance of the 'comedy of the absurd' on British TV. The BBC Radio's 'Goon Show' had already whetted the British public's appetite for looney escapist humour but there was some debate as to whether such crazy stuff could be translated into the medium of television, which was still black & white. The entire Python cast, including the late great Marty Feldman, made their first absurdly comic appearances in this TV show, which ran for at least 2 series & was a breath of fresh air, specially for us kids who LOVED it!!.
