Surprise Me!

We come across a level with a name that apparently is inspired by the popular wrestling catchphrase. The filename is OBLISK, which makes me assume it is a misspelling of obelisk, which makes absolutely no sense due to this being a room of mostly square based platforms.

We get a couple of errors upon starting like we did with Dark Geometry, though one basically is a value for something that is rather pointless and another is a light that doesn't seem needed. Basically, the error messages can be easily ignored.

The most noticeable thing of this level has to be the mysterious letters DSD. Most likely, this was the name of a clan and this was a map intended to be used by them. It would definitely help if this map came with a Readme.

This level, as stated before, mostly consists of a couple square platforms suspended over a pool of Water. The Water holds all of the non-Armor powerups, two in plain sight and one behind a pillar that can be quite difficult to find if you don't know of its existence. Also note that there was a message that was supposed to be displayed that said "Mr. BigStuff". Apparently, that is a reference to a 1970s R&B song, meaning the message itself is extremely random. Basically, this would be a hotly contested spot, which makes sense due to its low position and connectivity to everything else.

A bridge stretches across most of the map with a gap in the middle on both sides. This is a good place to get some basic ammo, plus some Rockets which can take a bit of work to acquire. Due to the Rockets being rare in this map, it could be seen as a pretty desirable area.

Invisible Teleporters are beside the square platforms next to the useless Double-Barrelled Shotgun and Nailgun. The Double-Barrelled Shotgun platform has a Yellow Armor, plus the invisible Teleporter nearby leads to a bridge with another Yellow Armor (meaning they aren't dispersed that well). Besides the benefit of getting a Yellow Armor, you also can get a Rocket Launcher on the bridge, which makes reaching that area a high priority. There is also a mysterious shootable wall which reveals an alcove with the "Aftershock" texture, though I have no idea what the purpose of it is (everything, as usual, is accounted for in the entities list of the Level).

The other invisible Teleporter leads to the top of the map. Though it stretches a fair distance, most of it is pointless, mostly containing a Grenade Launcher and some Shells. It is also the only way to reach a platform containing a Thunderbolt. Basically, this top section can be ignored, unless you plan on using a Thunderbolt/Pentagram combo.

There is also a pointless Wind Tunnel at the top of the map with three messages that appear when ascending or descending. I assume it is intended to be shown when descending, though there is no Teleporter that leads here and the only way this would work is from a certain Spawn Point. The problem with spawning in a Wind Tunnel is that you will constantly be going up however, meaning it is impossible to drop to the messages or reach the room below (making this quite an annoying place to spawn). Also note that there is a corrupt spawn point, though that seems minimal to the one that forces suicide.

Speaking of Wind Tunnels, the sign can either be reached by ascending either of two Wind Tunnels or from the rafters above. I advise using the rafters, the Wind Tunnels are heavily broken and can cause you to become stuck on a small barrier due to Water also being present. Basically, the only way you can escape from the latter situation is suicide or a Rocket Jump. Of course, reaching the sign is rather pointless as the reward is a Super Nailgun.

This level is not really my style, being a single room map intended for arena style battles. This level is made frustrating by the broken Wind Tunnels, invisible Teleporters, and pointless Shootable Wall. There is merit to this level, it isn't a total failure, though I can think of plenty of more entertaining levels than this glitch infested one.
