In an effort to make television broadcasting in Argentina accessible to the disabled, specially designed TV encoders are being distributed to those who need them. The TV encoders, which incorporate the latest available technology, are specifically designed for those with speech, vision, and hearing impairments. As part of policies aimed at promoting and broadening social inclusion, the equipment, which connects to digital TV sets, is being distributed and installed free of charge nationwide and workshops are being organized to train recipients in its use.
