Working together for a bright future for our professions
Creating, inspiring, and manifesting a future we all long for, for our professions and for the world around us, is a topic worthy of a big discussion. In this presentation James will suggest a model for such endeavors, based on the wisdom within us. This is the same wisdom we work with every day as we learn more and more about how to relieve stress and pain and disorders in those who come to us for healing. In our work and in the work of our students we repeatedly witness the astonishing ability of the human body to heal itself. This process reveals our innate tendency toward balance and harmony. Modern science has huge lessons to teach us about these topics, and this presentation will focus on details of those lessons.
A new science of holism is revealing how the diverse parts and functions within us coordinate their activities to enable us to do what we do. This science is not only vital to the advancement of the healing arts, but the observations of healers are key to the advancement of the science.

The biggest lesson from modern research and quantum physics is coherence. It is the single phenomenon that enables the parts of the human body to work together. Can we bring this finely-honed inner process into our larger relations? James believes we can do this because our inner coherence is both palpable and contagious. This presentation intends to set a tone of harmony and light for the entire conference.
