Campaigning for next year’s presidential elections is underway, and for the first time in the history of the country primary elections will be held. Two leftist coalitions believe that the measure will result in a higher degree of transparency and democracy. They say that candidates should not be chosen by small political groups or individuals that have the money to pay for their registration.
