A young leopard was captured after six hours of hanging around a house belonging to Lt Gen BS Jaswal, a retired Army officer in Amravati, Maharashtra state, Sunday. The inhabitants of the house and the whole neighbourhood panicked due to the leopard's skills to climb walls and change from one patio to another. Eventually, the feline was captured by the Wildlife Department, together with police officers. Two tranquilliser darts were shot at the animal in order to put it to sleep. Once asleep, the leopard was caught with the help of a net and transferred to a cage brought to the site specifically to enclose it.
