It’s a great time to be a Naruto fan once again! In the world of video games, we’re getting Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 this February. In the manga universe, the sequel to the Naruto manga and Boruto: Naruto the Movie, Boruto, begins Spring 2016. In the anime world, we’re getting a series based on Itachi Uchiha titled Naruto Shippuden: The True Legend of Itachi Volume – Light and Darkness, which also begins Spring 2016!
The Itachi anime series will be based on two official books released in Japan – The True Legend of Itachi: Glory and The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night. These are paperback books, not manga, so they are Itachi’s story told through text only.
It’s unclear how many episodes the Naruto Shippuden: The True Legend of Itachi Volume – Light and Darkness anime series will be. As for the books, the first book (Glory) is 256 pages, while the second book (Dark Night) is 288 pages. I hope to have more information about this series as it’s announced.
