The intro from the forever classic Blaxploitation staple Black Belt Jones.\r

Surprisingly enough for a movie that was so poorly reviewed (it even ranked at #38 on the 2004 documentary The 50 Worst Movies Ever Made), this 1974 film was actually directed by Robert Clouse, right after he directed Enter the Dragon, considered by many to not only be a great kung-fu movie but even the greatest martial-arts film ever made.\r
I guess George Lucas and Michael Cimino arent the only great directors more than capable of having an off-day.\r

Black Belt Jones stars Jim Kelly as the eponymous hero, fighting his way through a fleet of mobsters and goons with names like Pinky, Blue Eyes and Big Tuna in order to protect his friends at the inner-city karate dojo the mob wants to buy up so badly.\r

This intro tells you pretty much everything you need to know about the movie youre about to watch. It contains fakey kung-fu with obvious no-contact strikes, and everything about its atmosphere drips the aroma of the 70s. You know youre in for a relatively bad/cheap/laughable movie, but a bad/cheap/laughable movie that has a lot of heart at the very least.\r

And dig that jiving sound-track! It was preformed by famous funk guitarist Dennis Coffey!\r
Ba-dup, ba-dup ba-dup, budda-ba-dup!
