New Delhi, Mar 31 (ANI): Opening batsman Jason Roy struck a career-best 78 as former champions England stormed into the World Twenty20 final with a seven-wicket romp against New Zealand. Electing to field first, England staged a strong comeback in the second half of New Zealand's innings to restrict their opponents to a modest 153 for eight at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Roy said everything worked well for England and it was a perfect win. Earlier, New Zealand cruised to 89 for one after 10 overs before Morgan's men rallied. Ben Stokes (3-26) was the pick of the England bowlers, again showing how good he is in the latter stages of an innings. Williamson lauded the English bowlers and admitted the Kiwis were a few runs short. Earlier on Wednesday, England's women lost their semi-final to Australia.
