Before Goodwood motor circuit, RAF Westhampnet protected Britain's skies. At a suggestion from a decorated WWII pilot Tony Gaze, the perimeter track was turned into the motor circuit we know today. Aviation and motor sport are uniquely combined at Goodwood.
