New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): India sent an aircraft with relief material to its cyclone-hit neighbour Sri Lanka, which has been ravaged by floods and landslides since almost a week. Yesterday India also dispatched two ships to Colombo carrying almost 40 tonnes of relief material including fresh water, medical supplies and clothing. A C-17 aircraft took off last evening from New Delhi carrying National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel, along with more relief material. Days of torrential rains have forced around 300,000 people from their homes across the island nation, official data showed. At least 30 bodies have been retrieved at the various landslide sites.
