Google created a new feature for Android called Emergency Location Service.
When you call an emergency number - police, an ambulance, or the fire brigade - it uses data from your phone, like GPS and WiFi, to find out where you are and send that information to the emergency services.
This should speed up the process as opposed to giving your address manually.
The feature isn’t available worldwide yet as it requires support of mobile networks.
It’s currently live in the UK and Estonia and a wider roll-out is on the cards.
