Britney Spears spoke out about her niece's severe ATV accident on Monday, urging her fans to pray the eight-year-old. The singer's niece Maddie is the daughter of her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears. The Toxic pop star has flown to Louisiana to be with her family and to see Maddie, who is in critical but stable condition, PEOPLE confirmed. The accident occurred on the family's property when Maddie turned harshly and “overcorrected, causing the ATV to enter the pond,” the police report said. “Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail,” the report continues.
