Indira Gandhi was the third Prime Minister of India from 1980 to 1984. She was widely known as “Iron Lady of India”. She was the only child of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. However, she is widely known for her decisions during the state of emergency from 1975 to 1977.
