Harvey Weinstein is burning down — in effigy, at least.
The Hollywood producer embroiled in a sexual assault scandal is the latest target of the Edenbridge Bonfire Society. They've done other protest burnings, setting effigies of Donald Trump, Sepp Blatter, and Lance Armstrong on fire, among others.
The protest burnings attract thousands every year, honoring England's most infamous anarchist. In 1605, guy Fawkes tried to blow up British Parliament as part of a Catholic rebellion against protestant monarch King James I. While the Edenbridge society hasn't tried to burn any real-life royals, burning baddies in effigy seems to be almost as satisfying.
