The Loafing Heroes are a constantly evolving, international band based in Lisbon, with a 'dream folk' style, with Bartholomew Ryan (Ireland) on vocals and guitar, Giulia Gallina (Italy) on concertina, piano and vocals, João Tordo (Portugal) on double bass, Judith Retzlik (Germany) on violin, and Jaime McGill (USA) on bass clarinet. They just released their fifth album "The Baron in the Trees" in May 2016. Their four previous albums (Crossing the Threshold, Planets, Chula, and Unterwegs) are all products of their years in Lisbon and Berlin. Their songs tap into a variety of musical and literary interests filled with elusive characters, revolutionaries and imaginary worlds.
