Hey Guys and Girls today we have here Den and Dart from Trackmaster, I bought the pair on ebay and was happy to receive them this morning from the delivery guy :)\r
\r
Both of these engines have a similar appearance and shape but there are a number of differences both in drive units and appearance. Den is a nice color with a sort of arty orange and white stripe which i thinks looks great! The base bluey grey color really matches the orange and white, the designer should congratulate him/herself because it looks great! Den has the flat type of drive unit that is the usual trackmaster setup that all engines will soon have, this particular unit is quite quiet on this engine. Den is also the faster of the pair and i used identical new batteries in both engines to see their speed.\r
\r
Dart is the second engine we see unboxed and also has a great looking paint scheme of yellow black and red with small white stripes to separate the colors, the rear windows are cast into the plastic but not colored, this is something I will customize at a later stage. Den uses the original type of Thomas drive unit as i call it, this type of unit is quiet and strong and one of my favorites, Dart was slower than Den even with an empty shorter train, it could come down to the gearing used which affects pulling power vs top speed.\r

Both of these diesels appeared in the day of the dieselsand do not seem like evil charers they were just following orders from Diesel 10. Sorry I cant say more about them in theas i am not up to date with the animated , I stopped watching after the hybrid CGI/model season.\r
\r
So In conclusion 2 great little engines that run and look great in their own ways and its nice to see a pair of engines that go together and are not twins as it seems lazy and a marketing tic. (cant buy one without the other and they are basically the same engine with twins)\r
\r
So overall i give both of these engines a 9/10 they lose a mark for fake trion rods and a slight lack of detailing like rear windows, they do look great though and run very well so well deserving of the high score.\r

Thanks for watching!! Drop a comment and let me know what you think of these engines :)
