Born without her right forearm, four-time paralympian Hannah Stodel aims to become the first disabled sailor to complete the Vendée Globe, a non-stop race around the globe without assistance. The next race starts on November 8, 2020, in France and heads south around South Africa, east across the Indian, Southern and Pacific oceans to Cape Horn in southern Chile, and then north across the Atlantic back to France. Stodel will be the eighth woman to attempt the race, known as the “Everest of the Seas”, but the first to take "single-handed" to the limit by becoming literally the first single-handed sailor to compete.
