From Uttarakhand a 23-year-old medical student was gang-raped and also beaten up in a moving bus in south Delhi. Later, she was then thrown off the bus. She was with a male friend who was also beaten up with an iron rod.
The Delhi gangrape in bus case has rocked Parliament. Parliamentarians Sushama Swaraj and ex-NCW chief Girija Vyas demanded death penalty for rapists. Speaker Meira Kumar too called it the crime most heinous and demanded immediate and stern action.The gangrape victim and her male friend resisted the assault and were brutalised by the men before being dumped on the road side near Mahipalpur flyover on Sunday night.
