Schools Go Solar Cutting Utility Bills

In Batesville, Arkansas, the schools were strapped for cash, struggling to pay teachers. But then along came solar energy. Fuelling their schools with renewable energy has left them with a huge cash surplus that has been used to significantly raise teacher's salaries. And they're not alone, over 7,000 schools across the US have moved to solar energy to cut their utility bills. We hear from the Batesville school district superintendent Michael Hester and Tish Tablan, a Generation 180 program director who is helping schools make the move to renewable energy.
