Tasmania's largest not-for-profit aged care provider has announced an overhaul in the way it provides care and services from early next year, which it claims will improve health and lifestyle outcomes for residents. But the union representing aged care workers disagrees, saying the changes across Southern Cross Care's nine facilities could result in a reduction of skilled workers, and vital services being abolished.
