A major flood hit Tolinggula District in North Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province, after the Limbato River overflowed due to heavy rainfall. The flood, which began on Saturday afternoon, submerged residential areas and farmlands, with water levels reaching up to two meters in some locations. Although the water is starting to recede, the potential for more rain remains high in the area, complicating efforts for data collection and recovery. The Head of Limbato Village, Udin Lauposo, stated that all village heads are recording the number of affected residents and the damages incurred, and plan to report the situation to the local government.
