Angara: Repair of flood-damaged schools may take time
Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, during a media conference on July 26, 2024, says that "it would take some time" to repair a number of school buildings damaged by the rains caused by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon 'Carina.' Citing initial reports, Angara said that about 70 schools in Malabon and Valenzuela were destroyed by the floods but that the number is expected to increase based on the assessment by the Schools Division Offices.
