Recent research suggests the Shroud of Turin, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus, might be authentic after all.
The cloth features faint images of a bearded man and has sparked fierce debate since it was first displayed in the 1350s.
In the 1980s, carbon dating indicated the fabric was made between 1260 and 1390 AD. However, a new study by Italian scientists using wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) has dated the cloth to around 2,000 years ago, aligning with the time of Jesus's life.
