A tragic incident occurred in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a man, his daughter, and his niece were burnt to death after an 11,000-volt high-tension wire fell on them while they were riding a motorcycle. The event was captured on CCTV, showing the wire snapping and landing on them as they turned near a garbage dump. Initial investigations suggest that a monkey may have caused the wire to snap. The electricity department has promised ₹5 lakh compensation for each victim's family and launched an inquiry into the incident
