Taliban Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with U.S. officials in Doha to discuss bilateral relations, prisoner releases, and consular services for Afghans in the U.S.
The meeting comes as American citizen George Glezmann was freed after two and a half years in captivity. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called it a "positive and constructive step" but warned that other Americans are still detained in Afghanistan.
