Carla Lovejoy, 53, appeared in court accused of attempting to murder her daughter, Isabella Lovejoy, in Broadstairs, Kent.
Isabella, 28, suffered multiple stab wounds on March 20 and remains in a serious condition in a London hospital.
Lovejoy was remanded in custody until April 22 for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Canterbury Crown Court.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene, and forensic teams examined the home overnight.
