PH Environment chief leads groundbreaking of solid waste management facility in Iloilo
Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga leads the groundbreaking of Iloilo City’s Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility (ISWMF) — the first of its kind in the Philippines — on April 4, 2025. Loyzaga said the ISWMF addressed the pressing issue of solid waste management in the country, including large amounts of plastic waste generated daily and the improper disposal methods.
